Many people think that distant work is a synonym for increased freedom and free time. In real, remote mode of work means standard 8-hours working day with one new condition – change of location for work. Starting to work remotely, we are faced with the need to independently plan our new work schedule. In order to effectively organize the day, we must take into account our physiological characteristics, which vary depending on the time of day.
Below you can find a few recommendations:
1. 8.00 – 12.00
Morning is the most productive part of the day, suitable for fulfilling high-priority and difficult tasks, conducting negotiations, as well as for long-term planning of future work.
2.12.00 – 14.00
At lunchtime, our concentration faces the first failure, so at this time it is better to complete the work begun, take a lunch break or pause for a walk and perform several physical exercises
3.14.00 – 17.00
After a small reboot, you can proceed to simple tasks that do not require increased concentration. In the afternoons, pay attention to repetitive operations and simple negotiations.
4.17.00 – 19.00
The end of the working day is the best time to summarize results and make plans for tomorrow. After completing all tasks, you should set aside your laptop and spend an hour to take care of yourself and your physical condition
5.19.00 – 23.00
In the evening, it is worth devoting more attention to what charge you and gives you relaxation: communication with loved ones, hobby and creativity. Preparing for sleep will be more pleasant if it is preceded by something that raises your mood
